This is something I thought might be used to represent Metamor. Remember,
its NOT official yet.

The heraldry of Metamor Valley and Metamor Keep, summary;

Misconceptions

This is NOT the heraldry of the House of Hassan. The Hassan line, currently
represented by Duke Thomas V, is one of many noble lines that have ruled
over the valley. As such, the Hassan family emblem featuring the depiction
of a red horse rearing up on a coat of arms is not represented here.

This heraldry dates back before the Battle of Three Gates and the subsequent
Curses; as such they feature no representation.

Real life appearance

This heraldry is placed on fabric; it is used as a flag or a tapestry.

Meaning of the pattern

The rectangular shape, accompanied by two grey lines running down ether side
represents the geographical shape of the Valley itself. The two closest
points toward the top are the pass, the red jewel in-between represents
Metamor Keep and the bright, blue background is the same colour used on
Metamorian uniforms though usually for special events.

Meaning of the emblems

Most obvious is the first, lone emblem of a quill, which represents us =96 =
the
writers and anyone in real life who enjoys the story universe of Metamor
Keep. However for the Keepers themselves it naturally has a different
meaning altogether; it symbolises the rich artistic and academic culture
that Metamor stands for to so many.

The second emblem, standing below the 'jewel of the north' represents the
Keeps' unique and infamous variable geography. It is a depiction of a castle
with a basic paradox to its structure, that being the battlements and
towers, commonly seen on such images, not connecting up logically to its
base and main gate.

The next emblem down is a dragon silhouette to represent power, in the case
of Metamor, the power of a magical nexus and the strength of Metamorians
despite the odds against them from the northern threats.

The last emblem is the scene of a battle or a line of defenders. A Keep IS a
military structure and Metamor Keep is in a key strategic location at that.
Armed conflict or at the very least, the possibility of it, is a fact of
live for those who reside in the valley.
