It seems to be some interest in a Yuletide Story Xchange for MK. So, the
rules:
In essence, everybody who is intersted volunteers, names are matched
randomly, and you write a
story for your partner, and he/she/shi for you. Each person submits their
name, and what MK character THEY OWN in the story. A new character COULD be
created. All stories must be written and transmitted to your opposite by Dec
25. If the vict-- recepient doesn't mind, the story can be posted to
either/or TSA-talk, Shifti, the MKGuild list, the MK archives, and anywhere
else. The vict-- recepient has VETO power over posting.
This is NOT only for the so-called /good/ writers. Anybody can participate.
This is for fun, not for SERIOUS PUBLICATION ART. As to the story length,
whatever the writer wants. If it's a page, fine. If it's a monstrous novel
(hey Matthias!), that's fine too as long as it's done. :)
For those who are interested (and you KNOW you are, else I'll have to reboot
MUSFAH and send him after you), you need to e-mail me at mwbard at transform.to
(i.e. off list) with XMAS XCHANGE in the subject line by 6:00 pm EST on
Saturday December 6th with the following*:
1) Your name
2a) Which MK Character of YOURS you wish to have the story about.
2b) What kind of MK character you would like to be created (i.e. come to the
keep and get zapped). You may give your preferences as to type of change
(animal/gender/age) and anything else that might be useful.
3) Any pertinent information about the character and story you would like to
provide.
4) Would it be okay for your partner to post your story to the
list/Shifti/anywhere else (you may wish to be specific)?
All of us probably hope the answer to #4 is YES (though if you get Matthias,
all of us may regret it by the time part 812 is posted). NO is fine -- in
that case just send it to your partner. Everybody's information will be
sent out within 24 hours of the due date, so you should have about 3 weeks.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I reserve the right to post
question and answers publicly (to MKguild).
