Nicely done.  I hear it on the road today (text to speech program) and 
found it very intriguing and enjoyable.  It would seem to set the stage 
for much that is to come.  Metamor/Midlands politics are certainly going 
to be making for some strange bed fellows.

I've a few places I'd make comments but don't have the time just now. 
Hopefully later this week I can get those out to you.
