[Mkguild] FW: Looking for advice

I'm thinking the circular patch is the one used on the uniform and the
shield shaped one used on banners and flags. What do you all think?

I suggest thicker and zoom. Fill 15/16ths of the field with the symbol.
The outer edge double in thickness, the rest scaled up to fit.... and maybe
a different angle between the elements would make it less confusing.

This archery merit badge has the arrow at an angle. I think that makes it
alot more obvious that its not constructed like a crossbow - that
almost-right-angle junction throws my eyes and comprehension for a loop.

I keep squinting at the blurry and notchy edges. I think that the lines
should be thicker and em phasized - it can be hard to see things at a
distance making them thick and simple will ease identification.

Beside that, I keep getting images of a hybrid greataxe/crossbow... doesn't
seem practical.

Ok. Can't sleep so I'm up late. Worked on the patch some more!

I like the first image too. So I've gone back to it. I've also put it into a
shield shape. As this is meant to be a patch like worn on the shoulder of a
military uniform I want to keep it simple but it's lacking something.
Perhaps some other emblem below it to symbolize which part of the Longs the
wearer is in . Hmmm - Back to the Heraldry webpages!

I've uploaded a new image so REFRESH the page to see the new one. Here is

I'm n ot asking for the Mona Lisa. Just a basic sketch of what goes where
so whoever places the order has a reference of the layout to give to the
company that makes it. Another option would be to talk it through with one
of the artists on the list.

Now THAT is a great idea. I was thinking the same thing. I know I'd want at
least two myself! Anyone else want one?

As for who to do i t I found many sites on Google by just searching for
Custom Sew on Badges.

Just Google custom sew-on patches. It wont be cheap for a single patch if
done in a set of 10 for instance it runs about 130$ with price dropping off
drastically as more are ordered i think i was quoted 40 for a single run of
one patch.

Specifically, a Long Scout badge? I'm also lookin g for a repli ca
Long-style tomahawk that could potentia lly make it past convention
security. ; A fursuiter I know, who looks like he just stepped out of the
pages of Metamor Keep, has offered a promotional photoshoot if I can get him
a Long Scout badge.
