One comment - Isn't Thomas a black stallion?  Or is he a brown stallion with
black mane? Also remember Phil has paws and not really hands.

As promised, here is a little more detail for each character for the scene
(what I hope to send to Ermine).  Let me know what you think.

Brief, from left to right:

Andwyn the bat, Copernicus the lizard, George the jackal, Malisa the human,
Thomas the horse, Alberta the donkey, Thalberg the Alligator, and Phil the
Rabbit:

Detailed Character Descriptions:
Name: Andwyn
Species: Fruit Bat
Description: Andwyn stands roughly four feet tall and has soft brown fur
(somewhat lighter around his shoulders and chest, darker on his head, back,
and legs) and dark brown eyes.  His wings stretch three feet on either side,
and from his shoulders down to his ankles.  The middle joint sports a
quasi-hand with opposable thumb and two fingers, enough to manipulate
light-weight objects. He cannot wear conventional clothes because of his
wings, but he does wear a long open-sleeved vest and sash that keeps him
modest.  He prefers colors that blend well with his fur (usually another
shade of brown or perhaps dark green).
Action: Spreading out a rolled-up parchment map on the table.

Name: Copernicus
Species: Giant Lizard
Description: Copernicus's stands nearly six feet tall, weighs 300 pounds,
and resembles a dirty-yellow-scaled igauana.  He has bright green eyes,
dresses respectably for his position (attache to the Duke and sometime
patrol
commander) but not ostentatiously.  Neutral colors but of good, heavy cloth.
He has long flexible fingers, a smooth back, and only a small throat frill.
Action: Gesturing at the map with his right hand while talking to the jackal
at his left.

Name: George the Patrolmaster
Species: Jackal
Description: A black-backed jackal standing just over five feet, he has
dusty tan fur except along his back where the fur turns black down the
middle.  A grizzled veteran, he has a hard look to his dark eyes, but one
which can also be filled with good humor.  He possesses an aura of
confidence and command.  He wears leather armor beneath his tunic and
breeches (generally blue in color), and always has at least one weapon at
his hip which is usually a curved blade.
Action: Holding a goblet of wine in his left hand while listening to the
lizard at his right, eyes focused on the map.

Name: Malisa
Species: Human
Description: A little over five feet in heigth, Malisa is a well trimmed
woman who dresses in men's clothing, often of martial character.  She bears
a horse-head medallion marking her as the Prime Minister for Metamor.  She
prefers not to let her brown hair get too long.  She will be armed with a
slender blade.
Action: Malisa is leaning over the table between the jackal at her right and
the horse seated at her left.  She is addressing the horse with her right
hand outstretched over the table as if gesturing to something there.

Name: Duke Thomas Hassan V
Species: Horse
Description: Almost six feet in height, he is a sable brown stallion with
regal bearing and in the prime of his life.  His mane is black and always
neatly arranged.  He dresses befitting his station, favoring blues and
greens.  The heraldry of an issuant horse is often on his breast.  All of
his clothing has gold trim in it.
Action: Thomas is sitting in an ornate chair with high back that is
well-padded for comfort; not as ostentatious as a throne, but very refined
and better than any other chair around save for his wife's.  He rests his
hands on the table, while listening to his Prime Minister.  One hand is
resting atop his wife's hand.

Name: Duchess Alberta Hassan
Species: Assingh (Donkey)
Description: Nearly as large as her husband Thomas, she bears a gray hide,
long ears, and a stocky appearance softened by a feminine physique.  She is
garbed regally but not ostentatiously, favoring similar colors to her
husband.  She does do her best to appear beautiful for her husband.
Action: Sitting in a similarly ornate chair next to her husband, one ear
turned toward him, though her head and left ear are turned toward the
Steward at her side.  One arm is on the table, her hand clasped by her
husband.

Name: Steward Thalberg
Species: Alligator
Description: Standing over six feet tall, Thalberg has yellow eyes, green
scales atop his head and back, and yellow under his chin and on his chest
and belly.  Not that his chest or belly are ever visible through his heavy
red robes.  A horse-head medallion marking him as Steward of the House
Hassan is about his neck and clasps the front of the robe.  Though the cloth
is chosen more for warmth than appearance, it is still a rich hue.  He is
completely faithful to the House Hassan and keeps a tight reserve over his
demeanor.
Action: Thalberg is telling Alberta some details about the state of the
house while pouring a goblet of wine from a ewer he carries in one hand.

Name: Prince Phillip hin'Tenomides
Species: White Rabbit (Nearly Feral)
Description: Only a few feet in height and nearly feral in shape, Phil is
Prince of a foreign land allied with Metamor.  He is dressed somewhat
awkwardly in blue rather martial doublet.  His hands are paws bereft of
manual dexterity.  Basically he looks like a giant rabbit.
Action: Sitting in a cushioned chair at the far end of the table, his paws
holding out a parchment he is reviewing, ears turned to listen to all of the
conversations.
