Life III: Entrance of the Parasite - D

“Yeah I’ve had enough of this.” Peccavi said. “You will back off, and you
will do so now.” The guard immiedietly began to resist his words, so
Peccavi exerted more of his will. The stronger he willed it, the more
effective this little trick was.
Even Peccavi though was surprised by how much force he had to use to
finally get the guard to back off. As she turned to leave he considered
this. They resumed their journey. “I’ve not had to use my full influence
in quite a long time. A city full of people that strong, that able to
resist me? No no no it’s not, you’re all fucking weak. You’re all weak
and I’m strong.” Peccavi growled, “I’ll enact all my plans and none of
you little bastards will stop me.”
“We’ll resist you.” Endylen whispered, now having some control over her
mouth. “And you’re going to lose and then you’ll be as scared as I am you
son of a bitch. You will be so scared.” Peccavi rolled his eyes.
“Keep flapping that big long snout.” Peccavi said, “See how much good it
does you. This Keep is now my Keep. Guide me to your house.” Endylen’s
arms began to tremble. Yet they stayed at her sides. Peccavi sighed.
“You’ve two choices. You can guide me willingly, or I can enthrall you and
completely destroy your will. Either way you will do what I say.” Endylen
stubbornly stared strainght ahead. “Guide me to your house!”
Endlyen’s arm snapped up. Peccavi began moving the cart. The Keep all
around them was a mix of old stone buildings and newer wooden structures,
with the signs of damadge and destruction all over.
Peccavi drove on until they approached a large, burned out shell of a
building. He manuevered the cart behind the structure, then reined the
horses in.
“This place seems like a good place for the cart to be found.” Peccavi
said. He then backhanded Endylen hard enough to draw blood from her
muzzle. She tumbled back over her seat, smearing blood on the bench. She
back slammed against the top of the bench, cracking the armor on it.
“And there is the proof of an attack.” Peccavi slammed his fist into the
bench, splintering the wood. “And there is more evidence that will go no
where.” Endylen lay face down on top of a pot. The man’s fingers had left
a long cut up the right side of her muzzle.

“Alright, up ya go.” He grabbed her and pulled her back into the seat.
“Well, you look damaged, that’s good enough.” Endylen didn’t respond.

She hurt, in fact she hurt beyond words. Right now though Endylen was
dead. All her bravado was drained. All of Endylen’s energy was going into
one thing. Protecting her daughter. “Now, let’s go to your house.”

Peccavi climbed out of the cart and waited for Endylen to join him. Except
the armidillo didn’t. Her claws had dug into the bench, up to her hair
covered knuckles. “Up now Endylen.” Her muscles jerked and spasmed, but
her claws stayed burrowed into the wood.

“Get your ass up!” Peccavi exerted his full will onto her. And it almost
worked. Endylen could feel her legs lifting and her arms trying to pull
forward. But her tail swung around her leg and pulled it back. And her
claws held strong.

'Ally I love you so much.' Endylen could feel tears starting to well up.
But she held in place. Peccavi shook his head.

“Your will is stronger than mine.” He said. “You should feel proud, not
many can resist me. But you are only an animal.” Peccavi smiled. He then
said a three words in a language that Endylen didn’t recognize.

Instantly Endylen’s body went limp. Her eyes widened, then dialated. A
dull and empty smile settled across her face. Endylen’s mind couldn’t
scream out. She couldn’t even think, her mind was completely blank.

The ability Peccavi used wouldn’t work on some people, but it would on
most. It required his real name and his original language. Not something
he wanted repeated much. But that wasn’t the real issue.

No the real issue was Endylen was dead. She no longer existed. The spell
he had used overrode her mind and turned her into a puppet. A puppet with
no will of its own, nor a life of her own. And a puppet who if she was far
enough from Peccavi at any time, would instantly drop dead.

That limit alone made Enthralling not worth it. Sometimes though you knew
your puppet would be gone soon, so might as well destroy their will.
“Climb down puppet. Smear your blood on the bench to make it look like
their was a struggle.”

“Of course my Lord.” Endylen shook her claws out of the bench, sending up
splinters. Her body moved slowly but she was soon standing beside her
master. Peccavi gave her a pat on the head.

“Very good my pet.” Peccavi said. “Lead me to your daughter, make sure
lots of people see us together.” Endylen nodded.
