[Mkguild] MKGuild Digest, Vol 183, Issue 1

For the round-robin, I was thinking the following rules:
0) It is for fun. Those participating should do so because it makes them
happy.

1) Length: I think that one or a few paragraphs should be the minimum
length at any turn. This should allow even folks with super-busy schedules
to write a paragraph or two.

Imposing some sort of maximum length is likely to be stifling (and
arbitrary), but I'd say no more than about a page of writing (about 250-500
words) unless necessary (I am NOT going to word count!). I think this is a
fairly good length for reading as well.

2) Order: We'll go in order as much as we can. If one cannot write the next
section, please send something like "I pass the baton" or similar so other
folks will know it's okay to write. Barring that, if no one has written the
next part within 3 days, it is okay for ANYONE to pick it up and keep the
ball rolling. The same person should not pick up more than twice in a row,
though.

3) Time: I'm hoping this will go the full length of June (or possibly
longer). To go with, the story will be set in June 708. There's nothing on
the calendar for this month/year, so in theory it shouldn't interfere with
any plans. http://mkworld.wikidot.com/yearlytimeline

That said, if you *HAVE* plans, please let us know so we don't accidentally
create some weird continuity kerfuffle.

4) Other: Since I proposed this, I can begin it if no one else wants to. At
the very least, since I proposed this, I'll try and make some kind of
ending for what's given if it ends up petering out.

Thoughts?
