<div class="moz-cite-prefix">I'm still a fan of the idea of a
snarling predator over Ba'al's pentagram symbol. To meet it
represents Nasoj's aggression and desire to rule, as well as his
underlying allegiance to Ba'al. I agree with Matt that the Curse
should not be present on the banner as it is both recent (Nasoj
has lived over 200 years, and the Curse happened in the last ten),
and a major defeat. As for using lutins, ogres, or some other
manner of Giantdowns creatures on the banner, I'm not sure Nasoj
would give them that much credit. He strikes me as egotistical
enough to take credit for all successes, and putting his erstwhile
allies on the banner seems to undermine that. I think it needs to
be simple, having one major symbol for Nasoj on it, and include
some reference to Ba'al.<br>

<div>While I agree that adding the three curses into his
heraldry seems odd and would signify a great deal of
foresight on Nasoj’s part because surely he would’ve made
his banner before attacking the keep to begin with nevermind
the fact that the curses hindered him more than they helped
him.</div>

<div>However, rather than throwing out everything previously
mentioned let’s find some base to start from. Instead of
focussing on symbolism let’s settle on something basic like
the colours the thing would have.</div>
<div>Right now we have a positive opinion on red and black
colouring courtesy of Misha. Do we all agree with this?</div>
<div>If yes/no please give some reasoning for that.</div>

<div>Beyond that. Considering the sparse information on Nasoj
in the wiki, giving no info on family or the like, beyond a
mention that he overthrew the Sorth Republic around +500CR.
Would he have started from scratch or have taken that banner
and have it twisted into his own design?</div>
<div>I wonder what images lutins and/or humans in the
Giantdowns would consider symbols of power and stability.
Does anyone have any ideas on that? Remember, there are no
wrong ideas.</div>

our artists with flights of individual fancy.</div>

the idea of incorporating Metamor Keep's curses into Nasoj's
heraldry and I seriously doubt he would do so. Why in the
world would Nasoj want to use symbols of his own <b>defeat,
twice now</b>, in his heraldry? Secondly, his heraldry
and source of power in the Giantdowns would predate the
curses of Metamor.<br>
<br>
I think the recommendations that Ryx made make more sense
than anything else I have read. I will quote it here again
because it is worth reminding folks:<br>
<br>
"I propose something of a different, more mystical, nature.
Either a wyvern (identifiable as such by the scorpion
stinger on the tail), or more fantasic still in the form of
a three-headed chimeric beast similar to griffon heraldry of
old. Each head would signify a different auspice:
corporeal power, divine or infernal power (Ba'al's sole nod
on the heraldry), and arcane power. Secondary heraldric
symbols might be used as well to denote Nasoj's House, which
is pretty much that exact symbol since whatever the Dark
Keep was before his ascension has been effectively wiped out
entirely."<br>
<br>
The purpose of Nasoj's heraldry is to show his power and
dominion that he can better rally the Lutin tribes and
humans living in that part of the world. He an not do that
if his heraldry is also a symbol of his defeat.<br>

May He bless you and keep you in His grace and love,<br>
