My thinking is it's up to the one updating the archive to choose. What works best for him. But updates are not very often as each person writes at their own pace.
Huhwhatwhaheywho? You?re asking me? I?m sort of fine with uploading when something is available. Since I usually check the site once a week anyway and simply copy what?s there to go on the twitter feed. Or when Virmir still had the job I took my prompt from his message to the mailing list to do the same.

For an uploading schedule... I?m much better at discipline than planning. But I guess for such an irregular stream of income you?d need to cast a wide net. Maybe update once each month on the last sunday for example but i?m really not sure what makes sense since I don?t fully know what?s involved with all this.
Well, I was thinking maybe just 3 or 4 stories, but you're right in saying that updates are few and far between. The only other update to the archives that happened just a day before was me uploading an edited version of another story, at the author's request. Since the story was already on the site, it didn't get flagged as an updated page.
You?re welcome. Out of curiousity, how many pages would be enough to fill a batch for such an update? Given how irregular uploads of either kind (story/images) getting a enough for a regular schedule might be tricky.
Thanks for making a nice updater for us all. I wasn't planning on sending an update about the new page until we had more pages so we could send a batch update.
To be honest I am not sure. Usually when someone sends something to be added its added in fairly quickly. We never had a regular schedule for updates.
That?s fine. I really was just curious how many uploads would constitute a batch. I?ll just go back to being quiet and staying out of the way of those that work here.
