He is essentually a gray fox (because I am obsessed with gray foxes :)
), yet minus that species' characteristic ruddy sides.  So I classify
him as 'exact species unknown'.  Virmir cast the morphing spell from
his grandfather's notes without really understanding how it works.  It
could be a sub-species his grandfather invented for all he knows.  ;)

I think "silver fox" sounds more poetic, so I find myself using that
to mix things up.  It's kind of confusing, though.  But I do maintain
his tail is black-tipped, so that rules out a silver phase red. :)
