The Fellowship was organized to give reptile and bird Keepers a sense of
belonging.  Aside from providing a central location for the protection of the
next generation, the Fellowship provides other community services for its members.

The "watchful walls" is a reference to the Keep and the spirit who makes her
home there.  Kyia's omnipresence within the keep is a source of anxiety for
some members of the Fellowship, Margaret in particular.
