That's certainly true.  The actual stories being written aren't 
likely to reach time spans that would test a person's claim to 
immortality, nor to reach the death of anybody who is going to have a 
long life span.  That said, I'm very uncomfortable with the thought 
of an immortal being recognized in MK canon.
