Aack! I left off 'or just plain exhausting from the effort' after that sen=
tence. Sorry!

While I like the idea of a dragon fight, I would like to point out that not=
every mage is going to think a lightshow beneath them. Mine for example wo=
uld have lots of fun doing something like this if he weren't for the fact t=
hat he arrives after the fall festival. I can't think of any other mages of=
f the top of my head that aren't currently awol (like Jessica), incapacitat=
ed (like Rickkter), or who's not likely to do a light show either from lack=
of time and patience (Magus) or from pride and stubbornness (Virmir), but =
I'm sure there's a few. Not to mention Pascal has also probably invented a =
firework or two (all she would have had to do was accidentally set magnesiu=
m on fire for the bright and pretty).

I just got the most awesome image of aerial flag-tag ever. That sounds lik=

I'm suddenly seeing this adapted to be a training exercise for flyers as we=
ll, with military applications. Train up aerial speed, agility, awareness.=
..nice.

Honestly, I'm not dead!

1- Perhaps I should clarify what I'm asking. The ingredients for gunpowder=

use dragon dust to make fireworks, or would dragon dust be too expensive to=
 use on something so frivolous?

2- If dragon dust is too expensive, what are our other options, and how eco=
nomically feasible are they?

I like the idea of a dragon dogfight. They make their own flame, so expens=
e of ingredients is not important. They're doing what they do naturally an=
d having fun in a competition, so they're not likely to consider it demeani=
ng, like a mage putting on a lightshow might. Have Pascal give them some g=
low-in-the-dark paint to decorate themselves with and set up a lower limit =
of the dogfight beyond which fire is not allowed, and give them targets tie=
d by a string to their tails or something for the others to attack... This=
could work, and it fits in well with the Harvest Festival theme. Maybe it=
doesn't even need to be just dragons, but any flyer who wanted in, and a '=
catch the target' goal instead of a 'flame the target' goal. Thoughts?
