The Chapter numbering doesn't restart with each book.  Book I is 
Chapters 1 - 12.  Book II is Chapters 13 - 30.  Book III is Chapters 
31 - 48.  And Book IV is Chapters 49 - you'll find out. :-)

And at present I think the story is well over 500,000 words which 
puts it past many other seminal works of Fantasy Literature.  If you 
add in all the writing I've done in Metamor Keep, the total is easily 
over a million, and probably closer to two.  I haven't counted.
