TSA Bash 2012 has come and gone, and much fun was had by all! We had
a total of sixteen attendees this year in Pittsburgh, six of whom
stuck around for Anthrocon (a total of ten days of furriness for some
of us!). Additionally, there were four first time Bash attendees
this year (Kamau, Robert and Kaylee Thornsberry, and Lurking
Wolf). I was so delighted to be able to welcome them to such a
venerable TSA tradition as the Bash. Also attending were Phil, Lance
(Weremoose), Dragon deMonsyne, Jason Lehrer (Stitchwolf), Deranged
Kitsune, Ryx, Viqsi, Felix, Justin (Hsuan Te), Jacob O'Hare,
Fulminar, and of course, MattRat (that's me!).

We visited the Pittsburgh Zoo, the Three Rivers Arts Festival, the
Fort Pitt Museum, the Carnegie Natural History Museum, the Johnstown
Flood Museum and Memorial, and Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater. We
also played a few rounds of Lupus in Tabula, Cards Against Humanity,
Fluxx, and had an epic battle with the forces of Shadow in Justin's
D20 Modern game (huzzah for Rat Moreau!). And we enjoyed such
Pittsburgh traditions as Primanti Bros. (where everything is on the
sandwich) and the Penn Brewery (very good German cuisine and fresh
brewed beer). And of course, we shared many a wonderful conversation
with dear friends both old and new during the course of our four days together.

I want to thank everyone who came and all who helped me out both in
picking people up (DK, Jacob, Viqsi, and LurkingWolf especially) as
well as dropping them off. Yinz guys made this a great Bash!!

If you have any pictures, be sure to let DanSan (Sheep) know so he
can put them on the TSA Bash webpage (http://tsabash.org/)

And last of all, but certainly not least, a big thank you to Dragon
de Monsyne who will be hosting Bash 2013 in San Antonio, Texas! Good
luck, Dragon! We're all excited about what adventures you'll have
for us next year! :-)

May He bless you and keep you in His grace and love,

Charles Matthias
