The time in valley to be cursed is 14 days in a row. When a person leaves the valley (even for just a day) the clock (so to speak) resets to zero. It must be 14 days consecutively.

I know this question has been answered (probably a number of times) but I could not find it anywhere in my emails or in the wiki.

 

If a visitor (say merchant) wants to visit the keep on a regular basis, how long do they need to stay out of the range of the curse before they could return without worrying about being cursed?

 

I did read somewhere that if someone were to visit often enough and regularly enough they could get cursed even they were not within range of the curse for a full week at one time.
