Then quite a bit of other stories up on the archives and accepted as
canon are in trouble too. ;)

We do have a good number of reconstruction stories.  But I think it's
safe to say by autumn enough has been rebuilt that both the inner town
and Euper are functioning once more.  Granted, there is still quite a
bit of ongoing construction, but I don't see anything that would
conflict with your story.  Just have her notice some keepers banging a
shack together on her trip through the town or something. ;)

How did they rebuild so fast?  I have no idea.  Really, it *should*
have taken a good deal longer to get things up and running again.  But
it has been written that way, so I wouldn't worry about the validity
of your story in particular. ;)

As an aside, I think it might be a good idea in preparing for future
universe shattering events like the Winter Assault to have a list as
to what exactly gets affected, and how long it takes for things to get
back to normal.

If this is still totally unacceptable, you don't have to write in 707.
 You could bump the year up to 708, 709, whatever you want.  Although
that would limit who your characters can interact with.

Talking animals shouldn't be "possible" either. ;)

But hey, he's got a point here.  Any ideas we can come up with to
explain away the speedy recovery?

Some ideas:

- 'Taurs.  'Taurs are generally huge and built to work.  Maybe Misha
starts training animal morphs to learn their 'taur transformation so
they can help with moving heavy objects around.

- Magic!  Plot hole?  A wizard did it!  We've got Burris in Glen Avery
who can turn trees into houses.  Maybe the keep has a couple of
"construction mages" or something. ;)

Just some thoughts.
